About Readback

and InfraWare, Inc.

InfraWare believes that people deserve to be enabled to deliver their most amazing performance. The value of a person’s time, the dignity of their work, and the importance of the outcomes demand it. The company innovates and continuously improves language algorithms that leverage human performance by saving time and providing valuable professional insight. Tech-enabled services provide machine-assisted content production in highly-regulated environments where repetitive documentation is important but burdensome via a cloud-based SaaS platform and industry-specific service providers to help physicians, attorneys, and other highly-compensated professionals work closer to the top of their license (or capacity).

InfraWare appeared on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2020. In that same timeframe, the United States Patent Office awarded the company four patents for machine learning innovations to improve speech processing.

Following years of successful organic growth, the company acquired more than a dozen documentation services firms in the 2010s, including Catuogno Court Reporting in 2017, inheriting its then 51-year legacy of providing court reporting services to New England.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the national shortage of steno operators strained the company’s ability to meet customer demand. As the pandemic unfolded, lawyers appeared for virtual depositions as the only safe way to move cases forward. That online presence made core InfraWare technologies applicable to deposition reporting, solving the operator shortage and revealing that the steno machine itself had been holding back advances in reporting. Pairing those technologies with an innovative business model to drive rapid delivery of transcripts at low, flat rates created a new category. Active Reporting was conceived as a a more efficient and cost-effective replacement to steno reporting. Readback became InfraWare’s implementation of Active Reporting.
